When Time Matters
HGB has a staff of physicians, nurses and staff specially trained in emergency medicine. And they're here to help 24/7.

Level III Facility
The Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital Emergency Department is a Level III facility that enjoys an excellent working relationship with surrounding facilities to provide the residents of Eaton County with a full spectrum of care.

24 Hours a Day
The department opened in its present location on the north side of the main hospital in 2005 after the completion of the Imagine HGB expansion project. The emergency department contains 10 private rooms, including some that are set up for specialized treatments, such as for gynecological issues and orthopedic injuries. HGB’s Emergency Department treated more than 13,000 patients last year.

Five Full-Time Physicians
The emergency department is staffed by five full-time career emergency physicians: Medical Director Kory Deason, MD, FACEP; Sherman Horn II, MD, FACEP; James Dart, MD, James Yenger, DO and Greg Glatz, DO, FACEP. Department staffing also includes dedicated registered nurses, emergency medical staff (paramedics, EMTs, and EMT Specialists), and unit coordinators, and is supported by hospital ancillary staff personnel, such as respiratory therapy, lab, radiology, and others, as well as the hospital’s registration department.

Charlotte Area Emergency Medical Services also operates its ambulance service from HGB, responding to calls throughout Eaton County and surrounding areas.
