Infusion Services
When you need more intensive antibiotic therapy or a blood transfusion but don't need to be in the hospital, HGB's Infusion Services can provide the same quality procedures as hospitals in larger cities.
The HGB Infusion Center is located on the second floor of the hospital, in the former Family Birthing Center near the inpatient unit. Our staff of registered nurses and medical assistants take excellent care of every patient while administering treatments that can really make a difference in his or her quality of life. Here are the services we offer:
Therapies:
- Hydration therapy
- Blood transfusions
- Antibiotic therapy
Procedures:
(include, but are not limited to)
- PICC line insertion (central catheter)
- Therapeutic phlebotomy
- Paracentesis assistance
- Minor wound care
- Intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
Infusion is offered in a quiet, remote location where procedures can be administered privately and with special attention to every person's individual needs.
At HGB, we pride ourselves on providing quality, local care. Often it is more convenient and timely for patients to visit us than to drive to major health systems in other cities.
