The HGB lab can handle just about any kind of lab work you might need. Equipped with high-grade diagnostic equipment and specially trained personnel, our facility is designed to deliver timely, accurate results to help you and your doctor manage your health.
Accuracy Is Our Specialty
The Hayes Green Beach Laboratory Department is accredited by The Joint Commission. We participate with the College of American Pathologists Proficiency Program to document the accuracy of our test results.
We provide outpatient testing services Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
Inpatient and emergency testing is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Our testing is performed by registered medical technologists who have either a two-year or four-year college degree or equivalent education and experience.
Our medical director is a board-certified pathologist who is available for physician consultation as necessary.
We provide testing in the following clinical areas:
- Urinalysis
- Hematology
- Blood bank and transfusion services
- Coagulation
- Serology
- Chemistry
- Therapeutic drug testing
- Microbiology
On-Site Testing
More than 90 percent of our testing is performed on-site to provide results to physicians as soon as possible. Low-volume and esoteric test procedures as well as anatomic pathology are sent to our reference laboratory.
In addition, we collect urine specimens for occupational health medicine, including pre-employment, random, and for-cause testing.
