Dr. Hugh Lindsey, HGB Chief Medical Officer, becomes Board Certified in Medical Management

Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce its Chief Medical Officer, Hugh Lindsey, M.D., was recently designated a Certified Physician Executive by the Certifying Commission in Medical Management.

CCMM awarded Dr. Lindsey the status of Certified Physician Executive for educational achievements, demonstrated stature as a physician and experience in the field of medical management.

Dr. Lindsey was named Chief Medical Officer at HGB in September 2011. Prior to this, Dr. Lindsey assumed many leadership roles at HGB. His general surgery practice is located in Charlotte, Mich., and he is also the Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the MSU College of Human Medicine. Dr. Lindsey completed his general surgery residency at Michigan State University in 1995.

The CPE designation indicates a physician has achieved superior levels of professional excellence and management education, while also demonstrating effective knowledge and leadership skills. The CCMM currently lists more than 1,000 Certified Physician Executives.

The CCMM is the national certifying body for physicians specializing in medical management. It is a non-profit chartered by the American College of Physician Executives to establish and maintain the high standards required for physician executive leadership.
