This annual HGB 5K run and family walk is inspired by Natalie Freiburger’s 11 years of life lived fully. All runners receive a free shirt. (Pre-registered runners are guaranteed a requested size.) Walkers can pre-order a shirt for $5. Additional shirts will also be available for purchase the day of the event.
Course: The 5K run and free family-friendly walk begin on Oliver Street, continue down Cochran Street to Bennett Park and back. (The family walk turns around at Henry Street.) It is fast, flat and USATF-certified. The course closes at 10:25 a.m.
Cash awards for runners: Male and female: First place – $150; second place – $100; Third place – 50; Masters – $50. Top-finishing amateur athletes, as well as the top three finishers in each age group (five-year brackets), also receive awards.
