Community questions answered at health care reform forum at AL!VE

Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital is hosting a community forum on health care reform from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 18, at AL!VE. All are invited to attend this free informational event to learn more about health care reform and health insurance options before the next open enrollment begins Nov. 15 for the Health Insurance Marketplace.

“Health Care Reform: What do I need to know?” will be presented by Crystal Korpi, outreach and enrollment coordinator at the Michigan Primary Care Association.

“This forum will be an important interactive event where community members will be able to learn more about the Affordable Care Act, the insurance exchange and how it all impacts their health and budget,” Korpi said.

After the presentation and question and answer session, attendees will have the opportunity to sit down with Korpi, as well as a representative from HumanArc, a service provider that works with HGB and helps patients and community members understand their insurance options. They will be able to ask questions one-on-one, as well as evaluate Medicaid eligibility.

The health care reform community forum is free and pre-registration is not required. AL!VE is located at 800 West Lawrence Avenue in Charlotte, Mich. Call 517-541-5800 for more information.
