Charlotte, Mich. – Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital was recently named as one of the nation’s 2015 HEALTHSTRONG Hospitals by iVantage Health Analytics.
iVantage evaluates hospitals according to its Hospital Strength INDEX, a broad performance scorecard based on 56 metrics, including quality, outcomes, patient perspective, affordability and efficiency.
The study measured 4,334 hospitals, including 1,300 Critical Access Hospitals, which are rural community hospitals that receive cost-based reimbursement from Medicare. Nationally, 572 hospitals were named as HEALTHSTRONG, including 26 in Michigan. HGB was one of three rural community hospitals that made the list in Michigan.
iVantage has been ranking hospitals since 2011. This is the third time HGB was named to its list of top ranking rural hospitals. According to iVantage, a leading advisory and business analytic services company, its “2014 Rural Relevance under Healthcare Reform Study reveals that rural hospitals have achieved a significant level of comparative performance, including demonstrated quality, patient satisfaction and operational efficiency for the type of care most relevant to rural communities.”
