HGB reveals six of more than 20 auction items for this year’s Annual Gala

Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital invites all to discover the hospital through a variety of discovery stations, silent auction items and interactive activities during its third Annual Gala,
7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 17.

This year’s gala – presented by MSU Federal Credit Union – includes unique, discovery-themed auction items, many of which feature HGB employees and physicians and their talents. HGB’s Development Council announces six of more than 20 silent auction items that will be available for bidding during the event, including:

  • A beer brewing experience, where you and your friends can learn to brew two cases of your favorite style of beer.
  • A flyboard experience with Great Lakes Flyboard, where you and three friends can enjoy the adventures of flyboarding on a nearby lake.
  • A “time on the farm” experience, where you and your guests can enjoy a hay bale wagon ride, beautiful horses, home-grown burgers and more.

Plus there will be an MSU hockey experience, an overnight treehouse experience for kids, a glass art experience and more.

“HGB’s Annual Gala is more than a fundraising event,” said Barbara Fulton, HGB’s director of community development. “It is a way to create community connectivity through experiences everyone can enjoy. This year’s Gala is filled with exciting opportunities and experiences to discover some new and entertaining aspects of HGB and mid-Michigan.”

Other event attractions include a Five-Senses Discovery Tour – sponsored by Impression 5 Science Center and Independent Bank, a 50/50 raffle, unique photo opportunities, heavy hors d’oeuvres provided by Seasonal Grille, a cash bar and music provided by Tunes Are Us, plus a special live musical performance to conclude the evening.

“This year’s Gala would not be possible if it weren’t for our experience-design sponsors,” Fulton said. “Thank you to Pray Funeral Home, Sommer Building Corporation and Trees ‘n’ Scapes, for helping to make this year’s Gala one to remember.”

Event tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased online at hgbhealth.com/supporting-hgb, or in person at the HGB Gift Basket and at AL!VE. For questions regarding the event or to make other arrangements to purchase tickets, call (517) 543-1050, ext. 1251.
