Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital is hosting Golf, Grilling and Guys’ Health from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, June 15 at AL!VE in Charlotte. The free men’s health event for men, and women, features interactive booths, presentations and prizes.
Booths open at 9 a.m. and will include:
- Chair massages
- Golf swing analyses
- Balance screening
- Body composition
- Blood pressure checks
- Weight Watchers for men
At 9:15 a.m., there will be a physician presentation focusing on the various screenings and health issues men face at the different stages in their life. The half-hour session will include time for questions and answers.
From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., there will be two classes offered: Grilling and Beer Making, and Wine Tasting and Skin Analysis. Instructors will include Chef Justin Straube from Hastings’ Seasonal Grille and Patrick Sustrich, AL!VE executive director and president of the Tasters Guild of Lansing.
"For this second event, we wanted to invite men from the community along with their wives, girlfriends, sisters, mothers to learn more about the factors that can impact men’s health, " Sustrich said. "We have a lot of fun, interactive activities, as well as great information to help the men who attend kick off the summer with a proactive, healthy outlook."
Those who attend will have the chance to register for door prizes and get a tour of the experience-based, destination health park. AL!VE is located at 800 W. Lawrence Avenue in Charlotte, Mich.
