Shoulder pain presentation discusses risks, symptoms and treatments

CHARLOTTE, MI – Nicholas Doman, D.O., an orthopedic surgeon with Eaton Regional Orthopedics leads an evening presentation on rotator cuff tears as a common cause of shoulder pain from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8 at AL!VE in Charlotte, Mich.

Shoulder pain and disability in adults is often the result of a rotator cuff tear, which can weaken the joint. The tears are caused by normal wear and tear, and people over the age of 40 are at greatest risk. The injury can make daily activities challenging.

Dr. Doman will talk about the risks and treatment options for shoulder pain caused by rotator cuff tears, up to and including total shoulder replacements. The event is free and light refreshments are provided. Pre-registration is encouraged by calling (517) 541-5800, option 1.

In addition to adult and pediatric conditions, including muscle and ligament reconstruction, arthritic and degenerative conditions, joint reconstruction and sports injuries, Dr. Doman specializes in anterior hip replacements and shoulder replacements. Talk to your primary care physician regarding a referral for orthopedic services or call the practice at (517) 543-7976 for more information.
