We understand that medical care can sometimes result in unexpected financial burden. We offer payment options designed to help patients resolve their balances.
Patients with balances resulting from limited or no insurance coverage may qualify for our charity care or financial assisance programs. HGB reduces or eliminates patient financial responsibility for medically necessary treatment or prevention where the patient or responsible party qualifies per the financial hardship guidelines. Determination of financial hardship is based on income level and assets available. HGB uses 150% of the most current Federal Poverty Income Guidelines as a basis of financial hardship. Each person applying for assistance must complete a written application and provide documentation reasonably necessary to verify financial information. To be eligible, the patient and/or guarantor, must also cooperate in the application process for benefits from state, federal or other charitable programs.
